2400... Real or fake?
Is it the highest score achievable on Wii Sports Tennis we see on that picture? Did Adam really play hundreds of hours and thousands of matches to get just one point more than anybody else?
What is assured is that Wii-Records.com users that sent in this image record could not deliver any record video proof of that sensational accomplishment up to this point.
Nevertheless that story motivated me to get in gear when I started playing Wii haha...

Looks like the golf backround, dude. Crazy golf, waha!
ReplyDeleteof course it's golf and not tennis !!! fuck ...
ReplyDeleteseems like it is a Tennis pic. Hm.
ReplyDeleteI have been able to achieve 2399...
ReplyDeleteIt seemed to me once I hit the 2390 mark, for each point I increased, I had to win that many more games to get the next point level.
2392 -> 2393 Win 3 Matches
2393 -> 2394 Win 4 Matches
....
2398 -> 2399 Win 9 Matches
But after 30 consecutive matches at 2399 without loosing any points,I haven't gained anything. So I'm thinking 2399 may be the max.
great blog, very entertaining. I bought a wii a week ago and totally hooked. I actually won a singles tennis tournament (a real one, not a console one) about two years ago and love the wii tennis. Can I ask for some advice? How do you play a drive down the line? I can play cross court, power serve and all that but can't do the power drive down the line. Any help would be greatly appreciated
ReplyDeleteto hit a power serve, hit the ball at its highest point downward
Deleteit all depends on the timing!
ReplyDeleteright!
ReplyDeleteAnyone else ever get 2400 on wii tennis. I'm doubtful that one dude did it cuz he said he played 8-12 hours a day! I don't think a body could hold up. Plus, his pic has a golf background. I'm been at 2399 and have gotten 80+ skunks on the top two players since then, but no more points. Some other dude said you need a 100 after reaching 2399, so once I get there, if I don't get that point, I'll believe 2399 is the max.
ReplyDeleteSo did you ever get to 2400? I just want to know if it is possible. I have been at 2399 for some time and want to know if there is a point to continuing.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it is possible...
ReplyDeletethx for the blog.u have saved me so much time.i'm at 2399 on the tennis n i just won 20 games w/ out letting them score a point an i can't get another point.i believe 2399 is the highest as well.i would def like to know how long it takes to get 2400 if that's really possible.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree 2399 is the max,
ReplyDeleteThis is NOT a Golf background. If you check again, you'll see the background at the skill level screen changes every few seconds and this is one of the backgrounds that comes up in Tennis. I have no way to prove whether his story is true. But since no one has ever claimed to achieve 2400, I have to believe it must be that hard to get there. If 2400 can be achieved after 100 or even 1000 perfect games after 2399, there are many crazies out there who could have done that by now.
ReplyDeletegreat blog btw!
ReplyDeleteI'm at 2398, but in the early 2390s, i noticed if you hit a lot of winners using your back player, I would get a quick point, but that has stopped now at my current score. (could have been coincidence, but i made a point of constructing points and hitting winners and it would award me accordingly)
ReplyDeleteHad 380+ skunks already after getting to 2399. I get this nice suspense moment just before the score shows up after a win...will it be a +1? So far, it's always been a zero. I'll keep trying up to 1,000 skunks.
ReplyDeleteTo make it interesting, I sometimes play single games with the computer serving, or do best of 5. I created a brand new mii less than a month ago and have been doing about 10-20 skunks a day on it with 5 skunks taking up to half an hour.
Here's a video of one guy who got 2400, but his score was reset to zero after: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHoD_C8GMWw
Thanks for your comment and the 2400 video link.
ReplyDeleteYou can get to 2400, but you need to win multiple best of five game matches without losing a point, and setting it so that you're returning first. Thus, you return first, lose no points; serve, lose no points, and return again, lose no points. It also seems to make a difference the more efficient you are. When I did it the game almost seemed like a fluke in which I was able to hit a winner after just three or four strokes on nearly every point. And I had one ace and two service winners on my serve.
ReplyDeleteif you will play with me you will loose
